We are a small creamery in Bethlehem, CT. From all local cow or goat milk, we make Greek style dripped yogurt, soft and hard cheese, and bottled milk. Going beyond the average grocery store yogurt, our yogurt has been claimed by many to be “the best they ever had!”.

Our Story

We started as Little Farm on Main, a small goat dairy. We supplied a local cheese maker with fresh goat milk. Unfortunately, that cheese maker went out of business and Julie suddenly had no outlet for the milk. She quickly figured out how to make yogurt and chevre. Using recipes she adapted from old family favorites, we soon had a following. We registered at local farmer’s markets, festivals, and sold to some small stores.

Business grew. Goats, though, are fickle. They only produce milk for part of the year. It is difficult to breed them for year-round production Our demand soon outgrew our supply! We began to wonder if we could use cow milk during the goat “off-season”?

One day, a local dairy farmer dropped off a load of hay for our goats. He was a little down,because along with his check from the tanker, he received a suicide prevention poster for the barn. It turned out that New England dairy farmers had the highest suicide rate in the country for that industry!

We realized that cow milk was abundant, with farmers dumping what the tanker would not take. That was when we made the decision to try cow milk. Soon we were purchasing milk from local dairy farms – all right here in Bethlehem. Cows Around the Corner was born!

Our cow milk product line has been well received and is now our most popular line!
